| Our adoptable birds are not
free birds. We do not
ship birds. They do have an adoption fee that depends
on species and how much we have invested in the bird.
The cost of food and toys are not
incorporated into the adoption fee. These are
always provided by us. |

| Our adoptable birds do not generally come with cages
unless their cage is brought with them. Parrot Island
Toys Bird Haven does have cages that we house our
rescues in until homes are found. You will need to show
you have an adequate sized cage for the species you will
be adopting before the adoption can be completed. |

| While we do not specifically
require you to have bird experience, we do ask that you
have done research on the type of bird you would like to
adopt. You will need to show that you know about the
care and handling of the bird before we can allow you to
adopt. We reserve the right to refuse adoption to
anyone that we do not find suitable for a particular
bird. Do not take it personally. We always try to let
our birds pick their people instead of the other way
around. Our MAIN concern is our birds health, welfare
and happiness. If the bird you want to adopt doesn't
seem to connect with you, we will not adopt him/her out. |

| Parrot Island Toys Bird Haven will never knowingly
adopt to a breeder. There are far too many parrots in
need of homes now. |

| Once your adoption is approved. We reserve the right
to deliver the bird to your address. |
